On April 13, 2022, eBay Inc. (NASDAQ: EBAY) revealed that Eddie Garcia has been named Chief Product Officer. The Core Product division will be led by Eddie Garcia, who will work to improve the company’s technology-driven rethinking in order to deliver a top-notch, streamlined experience. On April 18, 2022, Jamie Iannone, eBay’s CEO, will announce Eddie’s appointment to the company. eBay’s search and buyer experience teams were led by Eddie from 2003-2014.
With over two decades of product leadership experience, Eddie joins eBay from Meta as Head of Commerce for the Facebook App Marketplace. He was previously SVP of Product Development at Travelzoo and Chief Product Officer at Sam’s Club, where he increased ecommerce sales and created a more efficient and enjoyable work environment for over 100,000 employees. He earned both his mechanical engineering and MBA degrees at Stanford University.
